Tiktoker Bryce Hall joins Trump at Rally

Famous Tik-toker Bryce Hall joins former president Donald Trump in Las Vegas, Nevada earlier this september. Hall who has 23.8 million followers on TikTok and 6.9 million followers on instagram has a huge social media presence. Trump's campaign saw this endorsement as a win because it gives them an audience and an in with the youth. According to polls , Trump typically scores lower among gen z compared to Harris. Bryce Hall's endorsement makes Trump seems appealing to those in the younger age range because they see their favorite social media personality supporting him.

Hall's has a reach of influence to about 30 million just from two social platforms along. Many of his support system are young impressionable people who will be old enough to vote in this years election. This can potentially mean a slew of younger voters for the Trump campaign, which they will need to go against Harris and to come out on top.

  1. Hi Aleceia! The role of influencers in political campaigns is interesting to think about for sure, and as you noted, it could be a strategic way for candidates to appeal to their young voters. I do feel though, it can be done wrong and I believe Trump's campaign has not really succeeded with bringing Bryce Hall onto stage as he is more infamous than anything and many people on social media are bashing Trump's campaign for bringing him along, many going as far as to say that Bryce Hall was all he "could get" in terms of relevant TikTok influencers.

  2. Hey Aleceia, I definitely agree that there will be some sort of influence that Bryce Hall has, but considering he is several years past his prime, it is debatable how much influence he will actually have. People are impressionable, as you said, and this will be a good way for Trump to try to align himself with younger audiences. I do not think it will be nearly as successful as they would hope though.

  3. Great post Aleceia! Even though I'm not a Bryce Hall fan, I agree that using him to appeal to younger voters is a great strategy. However it can be tricky for his presence hasn't really had much impact in 2024 but it was a great try due to his following on social media.
